I hope that at this difficult time for everyone, each of our owners and their families are healthy and safe.
It is unfortunate that I have to share with you that we must immediately suspend use of our six units for owner or renter occupancy, due to the Executive Order issued by Governor Whitmer last week. The wonderful staff of NME, our management company, who provides the cleaning services for our units, are not considered to be essential service workers under the Executive Order. Therefore we do not have a viable way to maintain the units. We certainly want to follow the Governor’s directive and keep our partners at NME safe. Consequently, if you are an owner with a week in April, we’ll be offering you an option to either transfer your week to an open week during the remainder of 2020 or space bank your week with RCI, if you are affiliated with their program. Cindy Dickson at NME will be reaching out to owners to discuss these options.
Additionally, the Executive Order will preclude us from performing our normal spring maintenance week activities next week, so those will also be postponed to a later date, once our various partners are once again available to perform their respective jobs.
This has also caused us to delay the installation of the new flooring in Units 8 and 11. We’ll keep you up updated on the progress of these issues as more information becomes available.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
