Harbor Cove Update 09/12/2020

From the Harbor Cove Manager:
Good afternoon Harbor Cove Co-Owners:

This week Fall has arrived in Northern Michigan. The leaves are starting to change (seems way too early to me!) and it definitely has gotten cooler!!

We closed the outdoor pool and the remarcite and tile work has begun. They should be finishing (weather permitting) at the end of next week. Then we will refill the pool to circulate and cure the plaster for 30 days. After that, we will winterize the pool.

With the newest executive order allowing for the indoor pool and Community Center to open, the Board and myself have been working to navigate all of the requirements associated with opening.

There is a 25% capacity limit. This allows for 17 people to use the indoor pool at one time. Under this count (25%), the observation room can hold 4 people at once and the Great room can accommodate up to 6. These limits MUST be self enforced.

I am working on getting all of the required signage and floor markings and once that has been accomplished and we can assign employees, we will open the facilities.

SIGN IN SHEETS MUST BE USED!!!!
The Association has installed hand sanitizer stations in multiple locations in the Community Center. The building will be cleaned and sanitized nightly. If the cleaning frequency is not adequate for your family we encourage you to bring your own disinfecting wipes or wait to visit the Community Center upon full opening.

If you have been feeling sick, please do not visit the Community Center.
The measures we have in place for Harbor Cove are on a trial basis. If we are finding that the capacity limits are not being observed, we will have no option but to close the facilities.

I will keep you all up to date as soon as I know an exact date of opening. BUT, please know we are working on this goal.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact me with questions.

Thank you all and enjoy your weekend,
Lora B
