Welcome to 2020

Winter in Harbor Cove.

It’s hard to believe we are already a month into 2020! As I sit here at Harbor Cove, enjoying our ski weekend, I can’t believe how little snow is on the ground and Little Traverse Bay is open water — that’s a first for me to see this time of year!

Here are a few updates:

The new recliners look great in the units and open the floor area up since they are a bit smaller than the old side-chairs.

The new floors were installed on the upper floors for Units 14 & 19 in 2019. Units 8 and 11 will be completed yet this winter/early spring in time for the busy summer season. We hope to get the floors in Unit 2 and 5 completed in the fall but we’ll need a few more owners to get their annual maintenance fees paid for 2020 to get that accomplished.

The Annual Owners Meeting minutes for the 2019 meeting have been posted to the Owners Resource page.

We have a new Board member – Penny Cash. Please welcome her, she and her family have a long history with the Association and she has spent a considerable amount of her life enjoying all that northern Michigan and Harbor Cove have to offer. Penny is a realtor in northern Michigan and has offered to assist our owners in marketing their properties if you are interested in selling your weeks. Please feel free to contact Penny directly if you are interested. This is not a function of her Board position but something that she may be able to assist you with outside of the Board. You can find her contact information on Board of Directors tab on the Owner Resources page.

We have a number of weeks for rent for the 2020 season so please check out the For Sale and Rent page to see what is available. We greatly appreciate Board Member Fred Humig for coordinating our rental program. You can also check out that same page if you are interested in purchasing a week (or more!) to extend your up north experience.

Just a reminder that it is everyone’s responsibility, as owners of the Association, to make your annual maintenance payments so the association can continue to make improvements to the units. If you are late in your payments, you are placing a burden on the other owners. We greatly appreciate those who make their payments in a timely fashion.

I hope 2020 is a great year for all of our owners and encourage you to contact us if you have any comments or concerns about the units and I hope you enjoy your time UP NORTH!
